Goals

The primary aim of the biennial Sustainable Animal Agriculture for Developing Countries (SAADC) conference is to establish a platform for animal researchers, producers, and policymakers from developing countries and beyond to exchange experiences and form networks for the advancement of sustainable animal production.
A distinctive feature of recent SAADC conferences is the emphasis on capacity building for young and early-career scientists, especially those from developing nations. This is achieved through close collaboration with local and international institutes, agencies, and commercial companies, providing partial financial support to enable young researchers to attend the conference.

Publications

Participants wish to present a paper in SAADC2025 conference must submit a one-page Abstract which will be published in the conference proceeding (by Can Tho University Publishing House) and made available during the conference. Those who wish to extend their abstracts to full (long) papers may choose to submit their long papers in the special issues of the following journals:

Animal Production Science (SCIE Q2, IF 1.3)
Veterinary Integrative Sciences (Scopus Q3, CiteScore 1.1)

Long papers submitted by students and young researchers, particularly from the developing countries will undergo a review process by the SAADC in-house editors before submission to the journal. Final acceptance of the long papers is by the respective journals.

Conference fee

Before July 30, 2025: 280 USD/participant; 180 USD/student
After July 30, 2025: 300 USD/participant; 200 USD/student

The registration fee covers conference materials, field trip, coffee break and lunch, as well as welcoming and farewell dinners. Each paid participant/student is allowed to submit one abstract/long paper but is allowed to be as co-author in other abstracts/long papers. The above registration fee does not include publication fee of long papers if any.
